ATTENTION CURRENT SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR DUAL CREDIT!
FALL 2023 Dual Credit Registration is open NOW!
Dual Credit registration for Fall 2023 courses is open. If you registered to take some Dual Credit courses for the FIRST semester next year during our High School Registration last semester, now is the time to get signed up for those classes with the colleges.
**REMEMBER: This is for first semester classes ONLY you WILL NOT register for second semester Dual Credit classes at this time!**
Deadline to turn in your completed Dual Credit paperwork to your assigned School Counselor is Friday, May 12th.
In order to take Dual Credit courses as a Junior students, must need to meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Have an UNWEIGHTED Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher OR
- Rank in the upper 1/3 of your class OR
- Have a 24 or higher ACT composite score
In order to take Dual Credit courses as a Senior, students need to meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Have an UNWEIGHTED GPA of 3.25 or higher OR
- Rank in the upper 1/2 of your class OR
- Have a 21 or higher ACT composite score
**Students who are not sure if they are eligible for Dual Credit, or they can't remember if they registered to take a Dual Credit course in the Fall during our High School Registration last semester, see their assigned School Counselor.
For students who are eligible to take Dual Credit and know they signed up to have first semester Dual Credit courses on their High School Registration need follow the registration instructions below, your application process depends on if you are taking a Dual Credit course right now this semester or not:

PLANNING TO TAKE A COURSE THROUGH A 4-YEAR COLLEGE?
FOR STUDENTS NEW TO THE DUAL CREDIT PROGRAM OR WHO ARE NOT TAKING A DUAL CREDIT COURSE THIS SEMESTER:
- CLICK HERE to access the CHS Dual Credit Packet
- You need to be sure to follow the step-by-step instructions, click on the necessary links, and register online with the college you are wanting to take the Dual Credit course(s) through.
- When you finalize your online application and sign it electronically, be sure to put your assigned School Counselor's name and email as the School Official, so that we will get notification to sign your online application.
- There are also THREE CHS Dual Credit forms that must be filled out and signed by you, a parent/guardian, and your Advocate.
- If you are taking an online course, you also need to get Mrs. Arechigo's signature. If your online course requires your tests to be proctored, she would be the one to proctor them for you.
- Your School Counselor will take care of the required School Official and Principal signatures, so you don't need to worry about those.
- Once you have applied online, Docusigned your application online, and submitted your application for your parent/guardian to Docusign, you MUST turn in your signed CHS Dual Credit forms to your assigned School Counselor.
- Your application will not be finalized until you have applied online AND those three forms are turned in to your School Counselor.
FOR STUDENTS CURRENTLY TAKING A DUAL CREDIT COURSE THIS SEMESTER:
- If you are currently taking a Dual Credit course and you are planning to take Dual Credit courses next semester, the registration process will be a little different than before.
- You do not need to worry about filling out the CHS paper forms from the Dual Credit paper packet, as you have already done those, you will just need to fill out the necessary online application for the college you are taking the Dual Credit courses through.
- You will still access the Dual Credit page on SDMyLife to see what Dual Credit courses are available and gather the information you will need to sign up for the course.
- Once you have identified what course(s) you want to take next semester via the SDMyLife Dual Credit Dashboard - CLICK HERE to access the online registration.
- From here you will scroll down to "Method 2: Continuing Registration Form"
- You will then select the college you are going to take your Dual Credit through, and follow the online instructions
- Remember to include your School Counselor's name and email for the School Official in the Docusign
- Once your School Counselor receives the Docusign online form, they will sign off on it, and you application and transcript will be sent on to the college to process your application.
PLANNING TO TAKE A COURSE THROUGH A TECHNICAL COLLEGE?
- CLICK HERE to access the CHS Dual Credit Packet
- Once you have identified what course(s) you want to take next semester via the SDMyLife Dual Credit Dashboard
- You can apply online through the Technical College by clicking the links in the Dual Credit packet and following the instructions and then print out the signature page that will be sent to the email address you provide OR
- CLICK HERE to access the fillable Technical College Dual Credit Form
- You need to be sure to sign your paperwork and get parent/guardian signatures on the required papers.
- There are also THREE CHS Dual Credit forms that must be filled out and signed by you, a parent/guardian, and your Advocate.
- If you are taking an online course, you also need to get Mrs. Arechigo's signature. If your online course requires your tests to be proctored, she would be the one to proctor them for you.
- Your assigned School Counselor will take care of the School Official and Principal signatures.

REMEMBER - This is for registration for Fall Dual Credit courses ONLY, students who are planning to take Dual Credit courses second semester next year, will register for those at another time.
**Current Juniors who would also like to take any Dual Credit courses over the summer, will follow the same instructions above. An email about Summer Dual Credit registration was sent out a few weels ago to the Junior class, so check back on your school email if interested.
