PTA

Do you know what PTA is?  PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. According to the National PTA website, PTA is a network of millions of people devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of family engagement in schools. PTA is 125 years old. If you’re  wondering if PTA is in all states, according to Jess Falken, yes it is.

Our PTA helps to support the students and teachers. PTA raises money for our school with fundraisers. Since they do fundraisers, they have to decide what to do with the fundraiser money. What do they do with the fundraiser money? They pay for meals for conferences, pay for plays, and playground equipment. For future ideas, people can suggest things.

PTA has different officers, the officers are President: Jess Falken, Vice-President: Alona Mader, Secretary: Lucky and Joan Peterson, and Treasurer: Ryan Skadsen. PTA meetings are held in the multipurpose room and sometimes in the gym. They have meetings once a month on the second Thursday but not during the summer.  Meetings are at 6:30pm.
