As part of former Gov. Dennis Daugaard's Governor’s Grants for Career and Technical Education (CTE), the Aberdeen Public School District was awarded $2 million for the construction of the ATEC Academy on the Central High School campus. Today, Central's A-TEC Academy offers several advanced technical and specialized courses that prepare students for college and/or careers.
