ABERDEEN, S.D. – Aberdeen Central High School students currently have their artwork on display at the Dacotah Prairie Museum.

Students from the CHS Honors Portfolio Art class created art and set up a class art show at the museum last week.

“They had the opportunity to be junior museum curators and gallery assistants, in that they were in charge of unpacking, cataloging, and the arrangement of the art in this show,” said CHS Art Teacher Amber Dallmann.

Students were assisted by Dacotah Prairie Museum Curator of Exhibits Marianne Marttila-Klipfel and Curatorial Assistant Jay Hopkins.

The students’ artwork is now on display through Dec. 9 in the museum’s Prairie Landing Gallery. An open house for the students will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the museum, 21 S. Main St., Aberdeen.
