Thank you for attending our 2023 Knight for a Princess event on April 1, 2023!

The Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation held their 10th Knight for a Princess fundraiser event on April 1, for young princesses 4-12 years old and their knights (dads, grandpas, uncles, etc).  The goal of the event was to strengthen the bond between girls and significant male role models in their lives.  About 300 guests attended this year’s event, and a good time was had by all! 

Knights and Princesses were greeted at the door by the Snow Queens, Miss Aberdeens and other local celebrities.  Before and after enjoying appetizers by Lunchtime Solutions, Inc and cupcakes, knights and princesses participated in a variety “princess activities,” and danced the night away with Celebration Entertainment.  This year’s event featured swing dance lessons by Skyler and Calli Vearrier, as well as magic by Magic MayHeim and Chris Kappenman.

Thank you to Schwan Financial Group, Aramark; Insuance Plus; Pierson Ford, and Bantz, Gosch & Cremer, LLC for sponsoring the event!  Cupcakes were donated by Kessler’s, Ken’s, Mary B’s Cakes, and Simply Cupcakes.  Special treats were contributed by Nadeen Goodspeed-Comes and Culver’s.  Professional photos were provided by Bremer Photography and casual photos by Gwyn Hilary Fotography. 

CHS Student Senate and National Honor Society students were in charge of the princess activities, FOR Club students helped with the appetizers.  HMS and SMS Youth Power students assisted with the craft activities.  Funds raised from the event go toward Foundation grants and programs to enhance educational opportunities for our students and staff.
