STUDENT TRANSPORTATION

Rural Routes:
The Aberdeen School District provides transportation for eligible students in grades K-8. An eligible student is one who attends a school within boundaries assigned based upon a physical residence and resides more than five (5) miles from the assigned school. Transportation will not be provided for students granted an in-district transfer. Fee Busing:
The Aberdeen School District provides transportation for a fee for eligible students in grades K-8. An eligible fee busing student is one who attends a school within boundaries assigned based upon a physical residence, resides between two and one half (2.5) miles and five (5) miles from the assigned school, and lives on an established route. Transportation will not be provided for students granted an in-district transfer.

Special Education Busing:
Students, birth to twenty-one, who qualify for special education services may be provided busing as a related service if the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) team determines it is appropriate to meet the student’s educational needs.
